The entire unit has been inspected cleaned and repaired, including wiring, old corrosive glue has been removed, switches have been cleaned and where applicable, disassembled, cleaned, re-assembled and tested. One picture shows a slight dent in the top which does not distract from the overall appearance. The other shows a cracked speaker connection that does not hinder connecting or tightening the speaker wire. The entire amplifier’s electrolytic capacitors have been replaced with the lowest ESR audio grade components available. We pay very close attention to the capacitors in the audio path. The exception to the above “rule” is the unit’s main power capacitors. If they are available and show signs of degrading, they are replaced. We test the THD and power output to manufacturer’s specs. Most of time we exceed these by simply changing out the electrolytics.
