Description: Wing Commander Armada - CD-ROM PC Game 1994 Origin / Electronic Arts w/ Bonus Recently, my brother passed and his wife asked me to go through his PC Gaming collection to see what he had and what could be sold to help pay bills. My brother's collection certainly brought back memories because we grew up during the Golden Era of PC Gaming, back when games were being released on a monthly basis, many memorable titles that are known even today: Fallout, Wing Commander, Mechwarrior, Command & Conquer, and many more. During this time, you could go to the local mall and visit the PC Game store (Waldensoftware or Electronic Boutique) to find multiple choices. Wing Commander was first released in 1990 as a space combat simulation but what made it successful was the inclusion of a storyline that helped make it more than just a game. The game would lead to an entire franchise and multiple titles including the main storyline which ran through Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom, with Mark Hamill as Colonel Blair, the character that began back in the first game of the series. The games would continue with a total of 11 titles to the series. Wing Commander Armada was unique in that it allowed for players to play different styles of games: Intense Dogfight scenarios, Strategic search-and-destroy scenarios, OR extended campaigns to destroy the enemy homeworld. It allowed you to play either Terran Confederation or Kilrathi. Here's what you'll receive:Electronic Arts CD-ROM Classics - Wing Commander Armada by Origin: Box is in excellent condition with no tears or crushing damage.Voices of War Reference ManualPlay GuideInstallation GuideReference GuideRead Me First! CD-ROM Classics Wing Commander DocumentationCD-ROM game in jewel-caseWhile I was going through my brother's gaming materials, I discovered that there were TWO versions of the Wing Commander Armada CD-ROM...one was a Red-colored CD, and another which was a Blue-colored version (this one states it is the MS-DOS version). The box clearly only allowed room for ONE CD-ROM, so one of the two is an extra, so you'll get BOTH for the price of one. And yes, the second one also comes in a jewel-case and is undamaged. As the announcer used to say back in the day...BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! For any Wing Commander collector, these are bonus goodies:Read Me First!
