Description: Vintage late 1920s Ladies charmeuse silk, lace & button detailed evening dress. Made by 'Elynor Paris New York'. Jet black drop waist, shift style slipover with and tan cotton faux scarf and collar. The lace 'Scarf' is held in place at the neck by a pair of silver colored 'diamond' studded buttons. Matching buttons accent the drop waists apron overlap on the left side with a faux button closure. Long sleeves have gathered elbows and snap cuffs. The left bottom of the dress has a box pleat and a wide front overlap. Finally, there's a scalloped trim detail around the waist, cuffs and the pleats that cleverly reverses the charmeuse from its shiny side to the matt side for a subtle but elegant accent. A good medium size. Bust measures 19.5 inches across pit to pit and waist 18.5 across. Hips are also about 18.5 across. The dress is 44 inches long including the lace trim and 20.5 inches across the bottom hem. Sleeves are 22 inches long. In very good condition for a 100+ year old dress. I noticed a couple of broken lace threads and a hem line pin hole after I'd photographed the dress but nothing more serious. There was also a loose shoulder seam which I re-stitched. A beautiful and sophisicated 20s dress. Shipped promptly. Questions welcome.
