Description: This sale features a $5.00 series 1928-C United States Note. The Pictures shown - serial number F 21072043 A - are of the exact item you will receive. This note from the 1928-C series has light to moderate rounding and wear on all 4 corners. There are 3 heavy vertical creases, a heavy horizontal crease through the middle, and lesser creases, folds, and wrinkles throughout. The bill is discolored from its use over the years, with extra areas of light brown staining scattered across both front and back. Also on the back there are two contemporary inscriptions in blue ink, which have bled through and the ink is visible from the front as well: To the left of the Lincoln Memorial is inscribed “EDDY WAS HERE”; and to the right of the Lincoln Memorial is inscribed what appears to be “220”, with a squiggle underline underneath it. The top and bottom edges are rough with multiple notches and small tears; none extend into the printed area. Finally, there are 8 pinholes - all in the portrait of Lincoln - visible when the bill is held up to light. Beyond those imperfections, you have a decent old note with a bold red seal and no missing pieces. The bill will be shipped FREE by USPS First Class Mail in a protective plastic sleeve, surrounded by cardboard for extra protection.Good Luck and happy bidding!
