Vintage 1940s Candlelight Slipper Satin Wedding Dress Jacket Flocking Bows XXS

Description: Vintage 1940s Candlelight Slipper Satin Wedding Dress + Jacket with Flocking + Bows It is possible the jacket is from a later time based on the tag, but I don’t believe so as the satin color matches so perfectly… Estimated modern XXS despite the 25” waist due to all the measurements. PLEASE see measurements AND also see my try-on notes to confirm and/or make your own best judgment call. Please keep in mind, when looking at the measurements, there really is no stretch. This dress was soaked / hand laundered, but will absolutely need to be pressed / steamed. This will either be shipped in a large polymailer or folded and shipped in a box. Again, it will absolutely need to be pressed / steamed. Still has a faint vintage storage smell FEATURES: Side zip closure. Sleeveless. Full gathered skirt with flocking on skirt (see notes below). Bows at the shoulders. Matching button front collared jacket. Boning in bodice of dress COLOR: an ivory candlelight satin. WOUNDS FROM TIME: Presents quite beautifully due to the sheen of the satin. There is one noticeable scuff on the back of the bodice. There are a few spots near the hem that get lost in all the pleating. The skirt’s flocking appears to have reduced over time. The design is still present, but usually flocking is a bit more dimensional than this is. One mark on jacket near shoulder Zipper works. truly this is a lovely dress. However, of course, see all the photos to make your own assessment. MATERIAL: unknown - I would assume silk, but that is purely a guess. Measurements taken flat and APPROXIMATE JACKET Shoulder to shoulder- (there are no shoulder seams so this is best guess)- 16” Waist- just over 12.5” Chest front (underarm to underarm)- 18” Chest back- 14.5” Shoulder to hem- just over 16.5” Sleeve length- again, best guess due to lack of shoulder seams -16” DRESS Smallest part of Waist- 12.5” (please see size notes) waist at waist seam - 12.5" Hips not taken due to full nature Chest front (underarm to underarm with bust darts taken into account)-18" Chest back (underarm to underarm)- 14" Shoulder to waist seam- 16.5” Shoulder to front of hem- 57" I am 5’2” and weigh 105” I have a 24” natural waist but could not get this zipped all the way up due to how it is 25” from the middle of the bodice all the way down to the waist seam. If your waist is small enough at its thinnest point, still check to make sure it is also small enough to fit 16.5” from your shoulders and 13” from your shoulders. Since this is a side zip dress THAT is why there are no photos or videos of this dress on. Please more, there is no stretch.
