Description: This is a very rare and unique Antique, early1900’s (possibly 1St quarter) Native American Acoma Pueblo Indian pottery bird effigy canteen. This shape canteen is almost never seen. It has suffered the loss of its tail, a chip of its beak and a couple of other minor chips but it is so rare that it is still a very collectable Acoma canteen. At some point, someone filed the portion where the tail broke off making it far less noticeable. It measures approximately 5-1/4” long by 5-1/2” wide by 2-3/4” tall. Please review all of the photos as they are a large part of the description and a testament to the condition. It is coming from a smoke free home and will be carefully packaged and shipped with standard insurance and tracking by USPS Ground Advantage.
