There is something about a signed book that appeals to me-that the book has passed, however briefly, through the hands of the author. As a collector, I didn’t concern myself with a strict documentation of the signature, and furthermore have obtained the books from a large variety of sources (auctions, bookstores, estate and library sales). So I am not in the position of being able to provide independent authentication, for example a COA. I use my judgement when looking at signatures, and often compare signatures with those that may be available online, especially sources outside the listings on this platform. I keep in mind that author signatures have natural variations (authors signing hundreds of books in a sitting vs a single signature at leisure, authors with long publication history show differences as they age, etc.). With especially valuable or collectible authors, some authentication agencies like PSA offer expert opinions on signature listings for a reasonable price and about a 2 day turnaround. But I encourage you to use your judgement, and if you are not convinced, then don’t spend your money on something that won’t make you happy.*I research the books that I list for sale prior to listing, and that involves consulting a number of sources, a good number of which are available to you for free.I do my best to give the information you might need to independently verify my attributions. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me for further bibliographic info on a particular listing.*The pictures and description are of the actual book(s) for sale or auction. I do not use generic or ambiguous descriptions. I try to be conservative in my assessments of condition, listing and providing pictures of significant faults. I would prefer that you be pleasantly surprised than to be disappointed with your purchase. If I make a mistake or miss a condition point, contact me and we will work it out. Although I don’t generally accept returns, of course I will do whatever I can to correct a problem, and returns always apply when I misattribute or fail to mention a significant condition issue.*I only ship in Boxes with multiple layers of protection for the book(s).I cannot ship to alternate addresses not in your profile, or delay shipping beyond the deadline required of me by eBay.*Most of my listings include Free Media Mail shipping to the US. For Global shipping, the shipping to the hub is done by Media Mail. I generally take packages to the post office personally and have them scanned in.*Shipped from a smoke and pet free home.*Feel free to make reasonable offers, and I often send offers to those who add an item to their watchlist. I have also started to use limited duration Sales, so if you are interested in a particular item, check back on it.*I send a message confirming purchase, and usually another when the package is on the way. I closely monitor my inbox and try to respond within hours. I leave feedback as soon as the book is on the way. I would really appreciate it if you, as buyer, leave feedback when the book(s) arrive and you have had a chance to look over your purchase (or contact me if there’s an issue).Seller downsizing personal collection. I don’t list more books than I can handle with personal service, and recently paused selling for a few months due to a couple of surgeries. Please see my other listings for more series, mystery, fantasy and sci-fi, collectible, modern literature books, classics and nonfiction.
