Sitka Sportsman's Ass'n on a C.C. Filson Red Mackinaw Cruiser Jacket/ Size 44

Description: Beautiful vintage C.C. Filson Men's Double Mackinaw Cruiser Jacket made of heavy 24 oz. 100% Virgin Wool. It is unique in that it has lettering on the back that reads: "Sitka Sportsman's Ass'n" which is located in Alaska and still in operation today. This comes from the Estate of Baseball Pro Bob (Bobby) Bolin, a pitcher for the San Francisco Giants (1961–1969), Milwaukee Brewers (1970) and Boston Red Sox (1970–1973). He was a native of South Carolina and passed away in June of last year. He was an avid sportsman and hunter and I would guess he made his way up there at some point probably in the 1960s as the tag dates to that period. He was quite quite a large man at 6' 4" and the size is marked as an 18 (neck) 44. It is in fair vintage condition with definite signs of wear and age. Most notably some black marks on the back shoulder and just under the collar and on on the right arm. This looks to me to be from something like a strap worn over the shoulder that might have gotten wet and bled into the coat. There are also some tiny holes probably moth related and tarnish to the snaps under the buttons. Also keep in mind the thickness of the coat. Had been dry cleaned per manufacturer's standards before stored. Measurements with coat LAID FLAT and buttoned: 29" length from shoulder to hem 21.5" across the shoulders, seam to seam 25" armpit to armpit 24.5" inch sleeve length from the cuff to shoulder armhole: 11" PLEASE NOTE: Will be fully insured with a signature required on delivery.
