Description: Lot of 11 dessert/sauce bowls from Royal Jackson’s “Blue Heaven” line in beautiful condition as shown. None have chips, cracks or fractures. Approximate dimensions: 5-1/2” diameter, 1” tall. Information about the manufacturer: The Royal Jackson company was founded as Jackson Vitrified China Co. in Falls Creek, Pennsylvania, in 1917. They started using the name Royal Jackson in the 40s. They eventually became part of Jackson China. The lion/unicorn mark was used primarily during the mid century, as is seen on these dessert bowls (hence the estimated time frame of the 1950’s). These “Blue Heaven” bowls are rare as the company itself went out of business in the 1980s, it isn’t just a discontinued line, so pieces are more difficult to get. Making them even more rare is the beautiful condition of these bowls as shown. Appraised value: $10-$12 per dessert bowl.
