BLOCKING THE STRAWStraw bodies arrive at our finishing factory in Garland Texas where we block and lacquer the straw body to give it, it's distinctive shape.The wide brim of a Resistol straw cowboy hat gives you plenty of shade when the sun is high. FINISHING A RESISTOLAfter going through 4 rounds of lacquering and shaping, each Resistol straw hat goes to the trim department to be finished. A leather or Drilex® self-conforming sweatband is sewn into the hat and a ribbon or leather band is affixed to the outside crown.Drilex® is an especially popular choice of cowboys far and wide as its patented cloth wicks away sweat to help keep you comfortable outside in the heat. OUT THE DOOR & READY TO WEARThe last stop before a Resistol gets to you or a retailer, is at final inspect.
