Description: Rare antique engraving titled "Ceremonies de la Remise a Baunau", which translates to "Handover Ceremony in Branau". This engraving features Marie-Louise (Napoleon) of Austria bidding farewell to members of her former household on leaving Austrian territory. The sketch was originally done by Alexandre Louise Joseph, Comte de Laborde. The retouching was done by Jean Michel Moreau le jeune. The engraving was done by Antoine Jean Gros (Baron Gros). It measures approximately 19 3/4" wide x 14" long. It has obvious condition issues such as some tears in the margin, and discoloration/staining. Will be shipped flat to prevent further damage.
