Description: Model 1908 Waltham Open Face 7J 16S Pocket Watch Almost a century old watch in working condition. A true piece of American History. The Waltham Watch Company produced watches and other precision time pieces from the 1850's to the 1850's. This watch -the 1908- was produced in 1928 according to the serial number. The case is made by the Illinois Watch Case Co. The case is plain, no design. The watch is open face, stem winding, featuring Arabic numerals and clear indices and sub dial. Hour and minute hands as well as the second hand on the sub dial have a faint blue hue to them. The ornate chain has rectangular links with a butterfly motif and ends in a T-bar to be worn in the buttonhole of a jacket or waistcoat. At one time the chain might have had a circular clasp as well but that is missing. The watch shows its age but the flaws do not impede the function of the watch nor detract from its classical simplicity. We will combine shipping on multiple items when feasible.
