Description: Vintage/Antique rubber "PAID" stamp, made by Fred Lake Rubber Stamps of Dallas, Texas. The Fred Lake company began manufacturing rubber stamps and associated products as far back as 1889, when the population of Dallas was less than 40,000 people. Interestingly, this company is very much still in business today, though it passed out of the family in the 1980s. A neat piece of Dallas (and rubber stamp) history!
