Description: Complete three volume set of an important, scarce, and desirable classic. 2,100 pages, 499 excellent, full page illustrations, most done from dissections. Slightly oversized books……8” x 11”, 2.5”+ thick. Very heavy…..all three volumes 15lbs.+.Overall condition is easily good+ and a bit more than that for the pages. They’re clean, unmarked, still white, slightly heavier than the usual paper stock. The exteriors are worn with corner bumps/scrapes, edge wear, shelf wear, and spine cover end wear. Volume 1 has some repaired spine cover damage at the top. All the bindings are good and text block edges are marbled and clean. End pages are marbled also. Previous owner’s small pastedown inside volume #1 front board.
