Description: Estate purchase, so I do not know age/history. There is another one currently listed on this site that states it was from mid-late 1800's - but I find no markings. While I cannot personally attest to the age, it is very much in the Arts & Crafts style. It was likely a plate from a botanical book. From my untrained eye, it appears to have been an outline print, then hand-painted. If I compare to the other active listing, the coloring is the same, but there are slight variations in the shape and saturation of the colored areas - supporting the idea that it is indeed a hand-colored piece. The outer mat dimensions are 10 1/8" x 12 7/8" with an opening size of 5" x 7.5". The actual print is ~5.5" x 8.75" - and you can definitely see evidence along the left side of it being bound in a book. Please open all photos in full/enlarged size as they provide an accurate depiction and detail. Triple matted, ready for framing. Note the last photo shows a frame that I have on hand (will be listing separately) that I think is perfect for this piece. Will ship flat.
