Printed in France, though Godfrey Phillips was in London, these multi-sport tobacco cards (with a heavy emphasis on boxing) feature black-and-white images on the front with a blank border and the athlete’s name in black type with a rectangular space at the bottom. Card backs identify the set name, the subject on the reverse, the card number, a biographical paragraph, and the Godfrey Phillips name.
